With sales and service locations throughout the world, and over 100 years of battery experience, EnerSys is the power/full solution for stored DC power products.Job PurposeResponsible for the oversight of the life cycle of products, including preparation, shipping and receiving. Additionally, logistics specialists develop reports showing transportation costs on precise projects and moves.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the arrangement of inbound and outbound shipments domestically and internationally.Manage on-time delivery and day-to-day communication with freight providers.Manage the day-to-day activities of our freight partners. Monitor shipment delays and facilitate resolution.Monitor freight partner billings to assure that contracted rates are being adhered to by freight partners.Look for opportunities to improve delivery time, freight productivity, and cost by coordinating with manufacturing logistics personnel to combine shipments.Drive improvement and efficiencies of standard processes.Schedule LTL transportation, negotiate rates with carriers for certain expedited shipments – both inbound and outbound.Handle all aspects of 3rd party logistics process.Must keep all information confidential.Responsible position requiring extreme dedication, good attendance, and the ability to work within a team environment.Able to give and follow written and verbal instructions; coordinate on-site drivers to meet needs of the business at the least cost.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications4-year degree.2+ years of experience at distribution center or manufacturing facility logistics.Must have a good knowledge of pro forma invoices, customs declarations, invoices, and foreign trade compliance process.Knowledge of hazardous or flammable materials and special shipping requirements for each.Good knowledge of all inventory control procedures.Able to maintain spreadsheets.Knowledge of shipping procedures.Preferred QualificationsPrior logistics experience.Knowledge of SAP procedures is a plus.General Job RequirementsThis position will work in an office setting, expect minimal physical demands
