Additionally, logistics specialists develop reports showing transportation costs on precise projects and moves.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the arrangement of inbound and outbound shipments domestically and internationally.Manage on-time delivery and day-to-day communication with freight providers.Manage the day-to-day activities of our freight partners. Monitor shipment delays and facilitate resolution.Monitor freight partner billings to assure that contracted rates are being adhered to by freight partners.Look for opportunities to improve delivery time, freight productivity, and cost by coordinating with manufacturing logistics personnel to combine shipments.Drive improvement and efficiencies of standard processes.Schedule LTL transportation, negotiate rates with carriers for certain expedited shipments both inbound and outbound.Handle all aspects of the 3rd party logistics process.Must keep all information confidential.Responsible position requiring extreme dedication, good attendance, and the ability to work within a team environment.Able to give and follow written and verbal instructions.
