.Tasks- Responsible for leading the activities of material flow and warehousing for plants in the bus. area AN.- Lead the design, development, validation and implementation of new or modified storage solutions for all plants in the business area- Working within cross-functional teams (IE, quality, packaging, manufacturing and outside vendors) to identify, develop, and implement optimal material distribution, material flow, and production supply solutions- Project initiation and coordination of cost savings initiatives as related to materials flow and warehousing in the BA AN.- Evaluation of plant performance to benchmarks for material storage, distribution, and supply - follow up and directly support plants for improvement projects.- Coach plant material management teams in best practices and Continental standards for material handling and safety- In alignment with ASCM and other corporate standards, be up-to-date on all equipment, processes, techniques, and methods for material handling and storage. Support plants in the definition of the best fit solutions and the process to implement them.- Manage cross-functional project teams: lead all elements of a project lifecycle through deliverable implementation, develop and track test plans to qualify designs, interface with team members from other functional areas, track project / product financials**Qualifications**:- Experience in Warehouse projects and optimization at least 4+ yrs.- SAP WM and IM deep knowledge as a key user / and or technical support - transactional, master data, troubleshooting, storage and putaway strategies, etc.- Deep knowledge about warehouse solutions selection, with demonstrated experience of at least 1 project of automated warehouses- Knowledge about inventory control strategies: cycle counts, physical inventory, ABC classification, etc.- Knowledge about electronic components handling, management best practices, requirements, etc.- Knowledge about warehouse space calculation and optimization- Strong project management skills- Advanced English language skills (minimum 80%)- Able to travel at least 25% of time.About usContinental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods.
