The Picking Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, specifically focusing on the picking process to ensure order accuracy and time management. Works with Inventory Control and Planning to maintain raw materials levels to support order fulfillment. Will train new employees, conduct annual performance reviews, and manage staff, sometimes overseeing up to 10 direct reports and 300 warehouse employees.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
- Responsible for the management of material inventory levels to ensure that raw material components and manufactured products are available when needed to satisfy the plant and customer requirements.
- Ensure inventory control systems are up to date and inventory accuracy, forecast future capacity requirements
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse management systems and equipment
- Develop and implement process improvement practices and protocols to achieve an efficient while reducing costs.
- Monitor workplace performance and leads training initiatives to improve employees' performance and foster growth opportunities within the team
- Follows, adheres, and fosters EH&S compliance guidelines.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of warehouse experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Advance proficiency in English and Spanish
- Solid interpersonal skills and ability to interact with a diverse population including union base employees
- Excellent leadership skills, including the abilities to set goals, motivate and manage conflict
- Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
- Ability to communicate internally and externally.
- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Previous experience working in a medical device environment a plus.
- APICS, OpEx, Lean Six Sigma knowledge is a plus
