Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all inventory control functions and personnel for the Mexicali Plant and External Warehouses.
Ensure that the accuracy of physical vs perpetual inventory meets or exceeds performance expectations across raw materials and finished goods in Medline Mexicali's books.
Responsible for managing receiving and shipping areas, coordinating supply materials to the operation, ensuring punctual maintenance, storage, and distribution, oriented to continuous improvement, focusing on customer satisfaction, and maintaining a strategic vision to improve and implement timely changes to eliminate waste and establish systematic changes to promote cultural behaviors aligned with a great place to work.Key Responsibilities:Review the success of logistical functions and identify areas for improvement.Lead a team of storage/warehousing personnel through the process of counting and recording inventory.Develop, implement, and monitor all key AS400 & SAP functions related to inventory transactions to assure that they are accurate and timely posted.Work with key personnel to effectively implement process improvements to operational procedures in an effort to proactively optimize overall location and item level accuracy and maintain the highest possible productivity levels.Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored.Perform managerial functions, including retraining members of staff of the warehouse if necessary.Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.Help monitor and control labor schedules in accordance with budget requirements and fluctuating business needs.Responsible for actual inventory counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, inventory count procedures, etc.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.Master's Degree/APICS preferred.English proficiency: 90%.Minimum of 6 years' experience in Distribution and Logistics.At least 4 years of supervisory experience as an Inventory Supervisor.Experience with developing or improving inventory management.Experience managing at least 100 employees in previous jobs is required.Experience working with MMS in AS400, JDE, and SAP MRP/ERP Systems.Highly responsible person with strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.Able to develop a strong team and increase employee performance at an operational level.Strong sense of urgency with solution-oriented and analytical problem-solving skills.Well-developed time-management skills with the ability to multi-task.Active listening skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
