.BASIC FUNCTIONUnder the general supervision of the Materials Coordinator, this position is responsible for receiving, storing, and supplying production areas with raw materials, purchased parts, packaging, and spare parts as needed based on the production plan or kanban requirements. Must also ensure that all material received and every movement is transacted properly in a timely manner in the ERP system to avoid inventory discrepancies and errors. Enforce and maintain 5S throughout the areas to avoid waste and hazardous working conditions.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESAdministrate workload for the warehouse, production supermarket, and receiving.Inform of storage bin errors, receiving, and material discrepancies.Work closely with production departments, quality, and schedulers to assure appropriate sequencing of orders and kanban triggers based on requirements.Administration of materials and WIP supermarkets to ensure the material is in the designated positions at all times and with the correct defined quantities.Notify the schedulers when material has been received.Inform the schedulers and quality of possible damages received and/or caused by internal material handling.Administration of receiving and importation documents.Ensure the correct input of the received material into the system.Transact in the system and inform the requisitioners of any MRO items received in the plant.Administration and audit of 5S's for warehouse, supermarkets, receiving, and pick face area.Direct and daily participation in TIER 1 meetings and TIER 2 as needed.Supervise the proper receipt of invoices in SAP and forward all the invoices to the accounting department to assure payment.Perform other related duties and assignments as directed by the Materials Coordinator.Comply with the Health and Safety Roles and Responsibilities established for this position.SKILLS/REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION:Preference for Bachelor's degree.EXPERIENCE:4 years of experience in warehousing activities; inventories; pull signal; Kanban; supermarkets, FIFO, and cycle counts.FORMATION:SAP knowledge is a must and Microsoft Windows-based software applications desired.SKILLS:Traits:Critical: Abstract reasoning ability, assertiveness, cautiousness, energy, self-directed, risk-taking, urgency.Supporting: Sociability.Behaviors:Critical: Willingness to make tough decisions; establishes goals, priorities, and expectations for staff members; persistence; recognizes problems, issues, and opportunities; leverages resources effectively; independently sets goals, objectives, and priorities; manages multiple tasks and activities; follows established policies and procedures.Supporting: Persuasively sells ideas to gain support and buy-in; gathers and analyzes data; works quickly; develops new contacts and initiates relationships; demonstrates an eagerness to help others; copes with rejection
