**_PRIMARY FUNCTION:_**
This position is responsible will provide day to day leadership, responsibility and supervision of the warehouse department and team within the site wide Supply Chain function.
They will manage warehouse facilities and staff by prioritizing the workload between Production and Customer Services as prioritized by business needs daily.
They are also expected to take ownership of health and safety, team assessment and development, some HR issues, and resource planning whilst driving improvements in productivity and safety.
Key responsibilities include overall stock management, receiving and locating goods, kitting works orders, customer order packing and dispatch of finished goods and logístical coordination activities for all site reported inventory.
**_ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: _**
- Department resource management / Planning and assigning work to the store's workforce
- Maintaining stock locations and stock accuracy, to include FIFO practices, Stock disposal activities, Kanbans and all stock movement related activities
- Coordinate kitting activities based on production schedule
- Communicate and follow up shortages detected with purchasing
- Unloading and loading of delivery / collection vehicles (Counterbalance Forklift Truck operation), Interacting with delivery and collection drivers
- Packing and crating of finished goods suitable for Road, Sea and Air transportation
- Support site customer satisfaction against delivery to due date performance to meet the needs of the customer through efficiency
- Support driving departmental related Cost Out initiatives in conjunction with the Supply Chain & Operations Manager
- Participate and assist in site wide company initiatives in EQS, ELSS, ISO14001, MESH, GEMBA etc
- Solving day-to-day issues (specifically related to stock discrepancies)
- Good organizational skills - able to prioritize
- Numerical abilities to ensure accurate material management
- Maintain 98% inventory accuracy
- Maintain 98% kits on time delivery
- Good communicator (tiered level communication), able to develop internal relationships.
- Ability to meet deadlines - a self-starter
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Proactively look to investigate / solve problems before escalation.
- Able to lead the team on weekends if necessary.
- Willingness to learn and take on new / additional activities as appropriate

**Qualifications**:
**_ SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:_**
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Requires a BS Degree
- Prior experience working in a materials role
- Three or more years of experience working in Materials role
- Strong administrative skills
- Excellent and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading Kaizen and continuous improvement events
- Experience in ERP systems and Microsoft office tools
Position Success Criteria:
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure parts and components are delivered on time
- Flex into other departments as needed to ensure customer and Eaton expectations are met
- Uses electrical schematics and blueprints to identify parts and components needed
