Our employees thrive in an environment where we help each other reach our personal best and enable our company to continuously improve and grow, and our customers to succeed.You will find Nordson employees sharing our success by giving back in the communities around the world where we live and work.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssures that all members of the Warehouse follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Procedures as defined by Nordson Medical's policies ensuring that FDA and Quality Standards are met.Supervises, teaches and evaluates personnel in the warehouse, ensuring that everyone under his or her responsibility meets training requirements.Supervise and assist in the daily activities of the warehouse.Supervise inventory and cycle counts activities.Maintain order and cleanliness of the storage.Ensure that all material-related transactions are completed accurately and timely.Ensure the accuracy of inventory of tools and fixtures (If required) and associated records.Ensure accuracy of shipments and receipt maintenance supporting documentation.Coordinate the supply of consumables and the assembly of work orders with the production Supervisor, leads, purchasing, planner and Engineering.Identify and communicate high consumable consumption to the materials manager to support material cost reduction programs.Work with the materials manager to identify discrepancies in inventory control and implement actions to avoid future inconsistencies.Communicate with the purchasing and/or planner to prevent shortages of material and supplies to maintain adequate inventory levels.Maintain and ensure that the warehouse employees follow the Kanban procedure for consumables, subassemblies, and finished materials.Follow and maintain policies and procedures that facilitate effective custodianship of inventory and minimize inventory holding costs.Continuously monitor inventory levels to address potential stock-out situations and work with Purchasing to address issues in a proactive manner.May be asked to ship products during non-business hours.Education and Experience RequirementsCollege diploma and eight or more years of relevant warehouse experience (including 3+ years of supervisory experience), or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to write and understand instructions, short correspondence and notes in English and Spanish.Ability to solve practical problems.Ability to perform standard arithmetic calculations accurately.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.Knowledge of storage methods and procedures, including physical inventory and record-keeping practices.Preferred Skills and AbilitiesSkill in the use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.Ability to capture data on label and printer maintenance.Experience with ERP / MRP systems is highly recommended
