The Job An executive producer must make artistic, managerial and budgetary decisions to keep a project running with the production companies hired according with artistic and technical parameters from Warner Bros Discovery.
Works closely with many internal departments, such as Production Content, Legal/Business Affairs, Postproduction / Operations to guarantee that all the goals established by upper management for the project are on track.
The Daily – Major Activities Critical reading of production in the development stage and establishment of parameters during phase 2 of script writing, with accompaniment to the development team to maintain the parameters established during the writing of the script.Analysis and management of the production design respecting the project guidelines.Follow-up and approvals: budget, schedule, contracts and all required deliverables within WBD standards, metrics and guidelines.Ensure that the realization is aligned with the company's strategy, in conjunction with the project management, Development area, Content Strategy and contracted producer, considering the values, production parameters and artistic premises.Design, manage and report the cashflow, cost report and other financial demands that appear during production to the Production Planning team. Track all content topics such as: locations, photography, costumes, art, music, etc. and manage casting approvals.Responsible for communicating approvals to the production company.Be present at the key moments of the shoot to guarantee the quality of the production.Manage the production schedule so that delivery times are met both on the producer side and internally.Monitoring for good compliance with all guidelines (licensing, insurance, talents, etc.) made by the production house and interface with respective WM teams on the subject.Responsible for the evaluation of cuts, choice of songs and artistic completion of audio and video.Artistic follow-up of all stages of the project until the delivery of the masters, including all the localization material (list of dialogues, approval of the dubbing cast, etc.).Hiring of direct talent for production such as: script room, researchers, delegated producers in cases that are required.Manage compliance issues with the producer and suppliers.To be the bridge between the production house and the internal areas of business, PR, Brand, Payments and Legal Team of WBD so that everyone has the knowledge and materials necessary to work.The Essentials Broad knowledge and experience in Production Budgeting, Planning and Negotiation; Contracts.Experience in management of teams.Adept at addressing time-sensitive queries with creative solutions.Excellent Communication Skills in English or Spanish.The Nice to Haves Partnership with key contractors of media industry, studios, production companies, postproduction houses, directors, executive producers.Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Avoiding the demand for reworks and additional costs.Mastery in Regulatory Affairs regarding coproduction especially Art 39 Condecine Funds – Ancine.How We Get Things Done… This last bit is probably the most important!
