When you add that to the challenges we take on and solve together, you'll discover that at HARMAN you can grow, make a difference and be proud of the work you do every day.**About the Role**The Customer Warranty Engineer will work with our customer and extended Harman team to resolve Warranty related issues resulting from design and/or manufacturing discrepancies.Work with multifunctional teams (Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Field Service) to drive resolution for product complaints.**Your Team** N/A**What You Will Do**- Support and maintain policies and practices related to manufacturing support of Warranty issues notified by OEMs- Represent Harman at customer meetings, conferences and training on behalf of the manufacturing plants and effectively deploy the information throughout the organization. Ensure Harman is current with the customer's quality policies.- Analyze, compile, review and regularly report customer warranty metrics such as C/1000, 3MIS, 12MIS performance. Prepare presentations from warranty data for reviews by both Harman and customer management groups.- Ensure information flow related to customer returns to appropriately address design (hardware and software), manufacturing, packaging and logistics causes. Facilitate awareness of issues and deploy countermeasures as lessons learned (Yokoten).- Liaison between Customer and Harman. Coordinates activities of internal and external resources. Serves as resource for problem solving by initiating actions to address issues and prevent potential warranty problems.- Assist internal and external contacts to resolve product and process problems. Investigate and solve manufacturing-related problems.- Complete other projects and activities as assigned- Participates and provides support related with quality systems management, objectives, targets and programs.**What You Need**- Integrity, Innovation, Inclusion,Teamwork & Respect, Excellence.- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree, with a preference for Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering- Minimum 3-5 years experience with automotive electronics. Audio and/or infotainment preferred- Knowledge of the principles and procedures related to Manufacturing Quality Engineering, electronic & mechanical manufacturing, statistical process control (SPC), problem solving, Weibull Charts, Painters Charts.- Must have 2+ years experience using AIAG guidelines (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, SPC).- Practical problem solving using: 8D, A3, Fault Tree Analysis, Pareto, 3L-5Y, Is-Is Not, Fish Bone, etc.- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements like Ford Q1, Stellantis Warranty and EBSC, GM PRTS, Toyota 3MIS/12MIS.- Experience to calculate TAT Time, NTF Charts
