We are seeking a dynamic Head of Service to lead our Comminution Service Team. The Head of Service will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the service team, managing large-scale projects with a commitment to quality, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
This role is pivotal in delivering technical and commercial support for our advanced products and systems, particularly in comminution technologies such as stirred milling.

Key Responsibilities:Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.Serve as the primary point of contact for technical and commercial support, building and maintaining strong client relationships. Conduct regular client visits, gather feedback on equipment performance, and document wear and operational data to enhance client satisfaction and product lifecycle.Oversee day-to-day operations of the service team, ensuring all projects are executed with a focus on quality, budget, and client satisfaction.Manage on-site support and troubleshooting for vertical stirred mills, aiming to maximize equipment uptime and optimize operational efficiency.Work closely with engineering teams on technical studies and with finance on financial planning.Provide on-site training and support, sharing expertise and best practices to ensure optimal client outcomes. Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.Proven experience in service management within the mining, industrial, or related sectors.Expertise in comminution technology, particularly with stirred milling systems, is highly desirable.Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.Ability to work collaboratively across departments and manage complex cross-functional projects.Founded in 1871, Weir is a world leading engineering business with a purpose to make mining operations smarter, more efficient and sustainable.
