.**Job Title**:Weld Inspector**Department**:Quality/Inspection**Classification**:Non-Exempt**Report To**:CWI.**Job Class**:Direct/Operatives**Position Summary**He is responsible for inspecting 100% of the structural welds made and ensuring compliance with company procedures and customer requirements.Collects and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain product quality and reliability**Essential functions**- Performs a variety of welding and grinding inspections on a variety of materials and parts- Verify and ensure that the proper welding equipment is used for the job and that the equipment is capable of meeting the appropriate requirements of the job.- Ensure compliance with customer requirements- Document all welding failures according to the quality management system.- Review weld mapping in various types of engineering designs for structures.- Read and understand the project specifications and drawing.- Use precision tools and equipment accurately to test and measure the product.- Recommends modifications to existing production or quality standards to achieve optimum quality within the limits of the team's capability- Other functions assigned by management.**Required Skills and Competencies**- Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, quality requirements, etc.- Ability to read and understand American Welding Standards (AWS) and customer specific standards regarding welding.- Working knowledge of blueprint reading (GD&T).- at the manufacturing plant.**Education, experience and additional requirements**- Bachelor's degree.- Preferred High School Diploma- 80% English- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).- At least 1 year of relevant aviation work experience.- Minimum of 2 years of basic dimensional/visual inspection experience required on aviation related equipment (fuselage, engine or avionics)- Minimum of 3 years' experience in the manufacturing environment, specifically in welding/fabrication positions.- Additional experience may be applicable instead of a formal education.Desirable:- CATIA- DPI - Dye Penetrant Inspection.Título del puesto: Inspector de soldadores Departamento: Calidad/InspecciónClasificación: No exento Informe a: CWI.Clase de trabajo: Directo/OperativosResumen de posiciónEs responsable de inspeccionar el 100% de las soldaduras estructurales realizadas y asegurar el cumplimiento de los procedimientos de la empresa y los requisitos del cliente.Planifica y dirige actividades relacionadas con el desarrollo, aplicación y mantenimiento de estándares de calidad para procesos industriales, materiales y productos.Recopila y evalúa datos estadísticos para determinar y mantener la calidad y confiabilidad del productoFunciones esenciales- Realiza una variedad de inspecciones de soldadura y esmerilado en una variedad de materiales y piezas- Verificar y asegurarse de que se use el equipo de soldadura adecuado para el trabajo y que el equipo sea capaz de cumplir con los requisitos apropiados del trabajo
