**Objective**: As a Welding Engineer at, your pivotal role involves safeguarding the integrity, quality, and efficiency of our welding processes. Your responsibilities include formulating and executing welding procedures, overseeing weld inspections, and offering technical expertise to enhance welding operations. Your contributions are instrumental in upholding our dedication to delivering top-tier welded products. This encompasses the calibration of initial parameters and adjustments to optimize the performance of welding equipment, guaranteeing the production of high-quality welds throughout the entire assembly process.
**Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Develop and maintain welding procedures in accordance with industry standards, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance with quality and safety requirements.
- Continuously analyze welding processes and identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, then take actions to implement those improvements in agreement with management.
- Conduct inspections and tests on welded joints to verify compliance with specifications and standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of welding procedures, inspection reports, and other documentation required for compliance and traceability.
- Promote and enforce safety protocols to protect employees and ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide guidance and training to welding operators and other team members to ensure proper techniques and adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with procurement and other teams to select appropriate materials and welding equipment, ensuring compatibility and quality.
- Stay up-to-date with welding technology advancements and industry trends to implement best practices and innovative techniques.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with both US and Netherlands-based teams.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Relevant industry certifications, such as Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWE), are a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in welding engineering, with a proven track record of process improvement and quality control.
- Proficiency in welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS, ASME, ISO).
- Familiarity with destructive testing methods such as Cut and Etch for MIG and Tear Off for spot welding.
- Experience with welding software and data analysis tools.
- Commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with teams based in the US and the Netherlands.
