**Job Description Summary**: The lead performance engineer is responsible to address issues regarding the thermodynamic response of an aircraft engine.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Provides technical support and analysis on parametric studies regarding the interaction of the different component of the engine.
- Is capable of understanding the effect of different ambient conditions and perturbations, and efficiencies and flows, on the overall performance of the engine.
- Identifies physical effects that cause significant changes in the performance of an Gas Turbine engine.
- Is capable of effectively communicate and present her/his investigations and results in forums with highly specialized professionals providing technical
recommendations to the customers.
- Uses statistical tools to provide answers as well as physical interpretation and impact on engine performance.
- Looks for creative solutions and constantly finds ways to improve the quality and response time of her/his work.
- Has the ability to meet short/long term business and customer needs.
- Has the ability to mentor others on related field

**Required Qualifications**
- Aeronautical/Mechanical/Energy engineering. Bachelor's degree.
- Fluent and effective communication in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Background or experience in Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics & Statistics.
- Problem Solving Skills
- Programming Skills (Ms Office and one programming language like Python or C++).

**Desired Characteristics**
- Previous experience in Gas Turbines.
- Previews experience on Six Sigma methodology
- Demonstrate ability in managing projects.
