DescriptionAs an onboarding team member, you will assist with operational readiness for implementing defined benefit (pension) and defined contribution (401(k)) retirement plans.You will support the process of client contracting through implementing and funding of the client's investment strategy.
You will interact with the client, client teams, operational teams, and the client's third parties, including custodial banks and investment managers, each who also play key roles in the overall project plan that you will maintain.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSuccessfully manage multiple activities in investment operations for a variety of clients.Respond to requests from internal or external clients for additional information as assignedClearly and efficiently communicate with custodial banks, investment and fund managers, record-keepers and other external parties involved, as well as client servicing and operational teams, to ensure all activities are alignedAdhere to our Professional Excellence principles to ensure that work is completed accurately and to a high standardDemonstrate risk-management excellence and adhere to documented proceduresProvide specialist advice to the various teams in the businessSupport the Operations (Onboarding, Trade Management, Middle Office, Investment Performance and Processing, and Third-Party Oversight) team, developing good working relationships and openly communicating on work matters.Consistently interact with other team members and client teams to keep them informed on progress and ensure they also carry out any required actionsBuild strong relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional teamsOther duties as assigned including project work that may include documenting processes, creating templates, or maintaining data.Demonstrate natural ease and effectiveness when dealing with clients/colleagues at all levelsCommunicate issues to the team lead and client team in a timely manner with proactive follow-up as necessaryManage work according to deadlinesQualificationsThe RequirementsAdvanced oral and written proficiency in English is a must3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a consulting, asset management or investment operations environmentUndergraduate degree, preferably in Business or related, or equivalent work experienceProject management skills, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlinesAbility to be a self-starter and work independently, but also cooperatively in a team environmentTeam-player with the ability to fit seamlessly into the wider practiceKeen attention to detailStrong service orientation and sense of urgency regarding client needsMicrosoft office advanced (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)Ability to liaise with third-party organizations (Investment Managers and Custodians/Banks) and with all levels of staff within the practiceEqual Opportunity Employer
