SCOPEAs a Wine Director, you will play a pivotal role in creating an outstanding wine experience for our guests. You will be responsible for ensuring an excellent variety of wines, establishing and nurturing strong relationships with suppliers, and providing top-notch training to our staff.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAdministrationMaintain the menu of the cava updated with prices.Meet and control suppliers alongside the purchasing team.Manage wine cellar and ensure it's fully-stocked.Guest SatisfactionEnsure the delivery of brand promises and provide exceptional guest service.Provide excellent service to all guests.Handle guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.Greet visitors, ascertain the nature of business, and direct visitors to the appropriate associate.FinanceControl wine costs.Ensure proper wine inventories.Manage wine purchasing monthly.Set prices alongside the cost controller.OperationsControl stock of the main cava for the venues.Analyze new wine offerings.Meet with wine representatives and propose new wines according to our target market trends.Recommend food and wine pairings.Advise guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices.Train and educate staff on wine in restaurants, bars, and butler services.Identify and train potential interested associates to be virtual Sommeliers in each restaurant.Train front waiters and order takers to become junior sommeliers and help push wine sales.Oversee the Junior Sommeliers.#J-18808-Ljbffr
