Together, we deliver the insight they need to separate risk from opportunity and make confident decisions when it matters most.Job Summary:The Research Analyst will be responsible for updating and managing data related to the waterborne crude oil and refined products markets. This role involves report generation, data auditing, product development, and collaboration with various teams to ensure data accuracy and model integrity, with a specific focus on maritime data.Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis and Maintenance:Update and maintain tracking data for crude and refined product flows.Conduct daily data quality checks for maritime data.Model Maintenance, Python Code, and Reporting:Maintain and update waterborne market models.Ensure Python code underpinning models is stable, optimized, and maintained through regular updates as needed.Data Auditing and Editing:Audit and edit historical maritime data for accuracy and completeness.Conduct calibration of volumes against benchmarks.Product Management:Provide daily and weekly commentary on waterborne market trends.Collaborate with team and internal groups to build new products.Ensure the accuracy and timely updates of waterborne data for internal departments.Customer Communication and Alerts:Manage customer communications and inquiries, related to maritime issues.Send alert emails for critical maritime market updates.Qualifications:Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in Python is preferred; however, candidates with coding skills in other programming languages and a willingness to learn Python on the job are encouraged to apply.Preferred Skills:Experience with data auditing and editing.Familiarity with maintaining and enhancing python-based tools and models to ensure robust data in workflows.A general understanding of the oil markets.Equal Opportunities:We are an equal opportunities employer.
