Performance Engineer at BairesDev

We are looking for a Performance Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. This professional will be responsible for optimizing the performance of our platform and ensuring that our users have a seamless experience. You will work closely with our software engineers and data scientists to identify areas of improvement, implement solutions, and monitor performance metrics.

What You Will Do:

- Perform investigations into monitoring and system-generated alerts/escalations relating to potential failures in the service environment.
- Interact with internal technical engineers and external 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Help define and test automation of manual processes.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly monitoring of reports and workflows to ensure operations are not interrupted.

Here's what we are looking for:

- 5+ years of experience with Linux Profiling (focused on optimization of costs: reduction of latency, higher Qps, optimizing instance sizes, reducing the amount of network, increasing mem caching, bin packing)
- Previous experience with Perf and FlameGraph.
- Previous experience with Distributed Optimization.
- Strong analytic skills, with a hands-on approach with the ability to deliver commitments.
- Superior organizational skills, with a disciplined approach to implementation, support, and documentation.
- Proficiency in C++ or Java, with a focus on the optimization of costs.
- Advanced English level.

Desirable:

- Familiarity with AWS EC2 and S3 and familiarity with monitoring for optimizing costs.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Datadog or Grafana.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
