.-Job description**WPB IT Americas CIO****Role propose**The WPB CIO Americas is accountable to the WPB CIO and Americas CIO / COO for regional relationships, execution of global and regional strategy within the Americas entity, and management/oversight of all local execution, change portfolio and Technology service for all relevant services. Ensure technology risk, execution risk and service risk is managed in accordance with HSBC FIM standards.**Role Context**WPB Americas Technology is a key global manufacturing function within the HSBC Technology and Services organization. With an annual budget of circa USD 79m and a staff of approximately 2,00o WPB Technology supports HSBC Group business with core IT infrastructure, networks and telecommunications and desktop technologies.WPB Americas Technology aligns into the overall strategy and target operating model which fully support the new Group strategy and Operational Effectiveness goals as part of HSBC's Technology. As part of this, Technology is globalizing many of its functions and processes in order to operate much more like a global business.Key to this operating model is Technology's business alignment and relationship with the Group Partners and the consistency in which it delivers against its commitments. To date many of the relationships have been regional in nature leading to an increased coordination and management burden on the Group Partners to a greater need to understand the inner working of the Technology organization. The transformed Technology business will reduce this burden through the building of an effective global relationship and delivery management function. The WPB Americas CIO brings visibility and in-country accountability of this approach to the WPB Technology and Americas COO and management.The role holder will:- Share double hat responsibility with existing WPB Country CIO role (Canada, Mexico or US)- Build and lead a relationship function within the Americas WPB Technology Organisation- Ensure delivery is of the expected quality and in line with budget, risk and strategic priorities and ensure coverage for all countries (Canada, Mexico and US)- Ensure all change the bank activity is delivered appropriately focusing on commercialization, risk, quality and strategic direction
