Grundfos is seeking an experienced Demand Planning Leader.
The Demand Planning Leader is responsible for facilitating and driving the consensus process with cross functional groups (Sales, Marketing, Product Management & Finance) to determine an accurate forecast of anticipated demand by product category.
The Demand Planner will play an integral role within the commercial team for ensuring unconstrained demand is captured and based on reliable information and analysis and ensure that forecasts are aligned.
This position reports directly to the Sales Planning and Profitability Manager and will operate fully onsite out of the Brookshire, Texas facility or the Monterrey, Mexico facility.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA or Mexico without support. Your main responsibilities: Lead monthly demand review, conduct demand analysis, monitor sales history and report forecast changes with commercial teams per the SIOP cycle.Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare and evaluate forecast data.Report out on variations to the plan from month to month (planning) and from week to week (execution).Ability to synthesize multiple sources of data (shipment trends, market data, competitive dynamics, internal developments) and translate to an impact to the forecast.Identifies gaps to the budget and impacts of internal change, competitor dynamics and other external factors that may impact demand.Documents and retains history of planning assumptions, risks, and opportunities to the plan.Measure, monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring root-cause analysis and corrective actions are completed.Drive continuous improvements in execution of practices and methods within planning area.Evaluate specific target requests using scenario planning of what if stimulations to make recommendations.Performs some lead responsibilities which may include global forecast consolidation and root cause change drivers.Your background: We imagine that you have: A bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain/Finance, or related technical field.4+ years of relevant demand planning or sales forecasting experience.Solid knowledge of the plans, processes, metrics, and activities within the functional area in Supply Chain.Experience with SAP IBP is a plus.Strong data analysis/analytical/forecasting skills are highly desirable.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to initiate, frame, facilitate and drive improvement initiatives within defined processes.What's in it for you?
