08 - Senior Team Leader, Operations Quality (Metrology Engineer)Salary: MXN 400,000 - 600,000Job DetailsFunctional Area: Quality (QUA)Career Stream: Operations Quality (OPQ)Role: Senior Team Leader (STL)Job Title: Senior Team Leader, Operations QualityJob Code: STL-QUA-OPQJob Level: Band 08Direct/Indirect Indicator: IndirectSummaryProvide direct supervision and training to employees (Quality Support 1-3 and Quality Team Leader 1-2) to effectively perform their assignments, supervising ~25 - 50 employees or a non-supervisory team lead of a support function.ResponsibilitiesReview inspection methods and sampling plans in the Quality Instruction/Quality Plan and provide feedback to the Quality Engineer as necessary.Monitor and review performance, attendance, and disciplinary actions of employees (Quality Support 1-3 and Quality Team Leader 1-2) in the assigned area.Review defects found by Quality Inspectors, prepare reports, notify, and work with the team for corrections and solutions.Stop the line and escalate quality incidents to the Manager as necessary.Monitor and review the working shifts/hours and overtime schedules of employees (Quality Support 1-3 and Quality Team Leader 1-2) in the assigned area.Provide direct supervision and training to employees (Quality Team Leader 1-2) performing their assignments.Demonstrate strong knowledge of product quality requirements (IPC-A-610, workmanship, cosmetic specifications) and the tools and equipment used in the inspection process.Exhibit strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, ISO Standards, and company rules/procedures.Understand sampling plan procedures (AQL) and basic quality tools.Comprehend the business unit's operations and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, on-time delivery, and profitability.Effectively lead, manage, train, and motivate employees (Quality Support 1-3 and Quality Team Leader 1-2).Communicate and coordinate with various functions to meet quality metrics.Physical DemandsWork in generally good conditions with occasional exposure (10% - 33%) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, and hazardous substances.Duties include sustained visual concentration on small areas, such as monitors/screens and legal documents.Occasional overnight travel may be required.Typical Experience4 to 6 years in a similar role or industry.Typical EducationBachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Educational requirements may vary by geography.NotesThis job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities of the position.
