**Detailed Description**:
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Manages, advises and guides regional commodity teams for allocation of constrained commodities.
- Identifies supply vs demand profile for all allocated products within Celestica and proportion by customer and geography and communicate allocation.
- Resolves critical shortages that have been escalated and work with senior executives of suppliers to increase supplier support of products.
- Consolidates and reports customer service or revenue impacting items and ensure no impact to Celestica in the marketplace.
- Manages team for establishing rapid component sourcing for new program introduction and inter-site product transfers across defined geography.
- Meets aggressive time schedules despite conflicting site priorities.
- Develops new strategic processes, systems and a toolset to facilitate the sourcing process while maintaining strict controls.
- Directly manages a group of SCM employees or managers.
- Maintains responsibility for employee training, performance, measurement, development, motivation and recognition.
- Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve this goals.
- Drives continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments.
**Knowledge/Skills/Competencies**:
- Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for broad range of strategic commodities.
- Excellent knowledge of Celestica's global supply chain including strategic policies and objectives.
- Good understanding of global business environment and Customers business, organization, products and processes.
- Strong knowledge of office systems and analytical tools.
- Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively.
- Expert knowledge of best of breed sourcing practices and methodologies.
- Strong ability to work effectively across functions and with Customers/Supplier to achieve Celestica's goals.
- Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
- Ability to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees.
**Physical Demands**:
- Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
- Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data.
- Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
**Typical Experience**:
- Seven to ten years of relevant experience
**Typical Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in related field (Commerce or Engineering), or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
