The Design and Release Engineer ADV will be instrumental in the engineering, design, development, timing, and production release of advanced systems and components for automotive projects. This role involves close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve innovative solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards. The engineer will be responsible for leading design verification, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and or MBA
- 5 TO 8 years of experience in Mechanical Design and automotive industry (product design or engineering)
- Proven experience in the design and engineering of automotive systems and components.
- Strong knowledge of the global vehicle development process and all associated phases.
- Experience with CAD software (Catia V5, NX, Teamcenter).
- Expertise in advanced manufacturing processes, including but not limited to injection molding and assembly.
- Proficiency in electronics/electrical simulation, circuit analysis, and knowledge of standards like CAN/LIN buses.
- Familiarity with Bluetooth, WiFi protocols, and data communication standards.
- Experience constructing and managing Bill of Materials (BOMs).
- Solid understanding of GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, and root cause analysis.
- Experience in Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles.
- Knowledge of vehicle system architecture and CAE/CFD methods.
