The Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities across the Accounting organization including the preparation of monthly accounting records as well as related reporting, analytical activities and initiatives.General ResponsibilitiesCollaborates on the preparation and entering of journal entriesKey participant in balance sheet reconciliationsFollow the company's chart of accountsOrganizes month-end and year-end close processResearch and analyze current financial statusCollaborate on financial action recommendations by analyzing accounting optionsIdentify errors and collaborate on ways to improve efficiency and spendingKey participant in reviewing and recommending modifications to accounting systems and proceduresAssist with financial statements and supplemental schedulesOrganize documentation on business processes to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controlsComply with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislationPrepare special financial reports as needed by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trendsExperience / QualificationsA university degree required (i.E.
