Applicants not chosen are invited to re-apply for consideration on or after June 1, 2025.Position InformationPosition Title: Adjunct Faculty - Communication Sciences and Disorders and Speech-Language Pathology ProgramsJob Purpose: The University of Scranton's Department of Health and Human Performance has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses each semester in the field of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). Adjunct faculty may instruct one or more courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. A particular need in SLP is for the medically based speech pathology courses (e.G., tracheostomized and ventilator dependency and head and neck cancer) provided in a synchronous distance education environment.Adjunct faculty are expected to teach a specified course(s); prepare course materials; provide support and guidance to students; and report grades.Minimum Job Requirements:Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.Certifications in a field relevant to the course, if applicable.Preferred Qualifications:Preference will be given to Ph.D. or Ed.D. candidates.Preference will be given to candidates with previous college-level teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.For SLP courses, candidates with previous college-level distance learning teaching experience preferred.Additional Information:This posting is not collecting references at this time.
