**GENERAL SUMMARY**:
As a member of the Material Planning Team, the Advanced Planning Specialist will be responsible to coordinate and prioritize the production activities of suppliers having issues shipping on time. The specialist will work to ensure a good relationship with suppliers and good communication with the departments involved at BRP. The objective of the team is to avoid any impacts on our production plants, to increase the shipping performance of the assigned suppliers and work proactively with our suppliers to reduce risks and communicate thoroughly with our collaborators.
**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Connect with the planners to understand the challenges that the suppliers are facing.
Take the leadership of the communications with the suppliers on open issues.
Provide priorities to the assigned suppliers to deliver parts to avoid impacts.
Escalate quickly any issue that can lead to an impact at the production sites.
Track and report suppliers performance on a weekly basis through the Dashboard process.
Communicate evolution and status periodically to collaborators.
Communicate effectively with planners and support their requests.
Analyze, plan and adjust quickly the production plan of the suppliers to avoid any impacts on production sites.
Manage "crises" of supply from the suppliers by using a temporary schedule of deliveries while considering the supplier output, the times of transit, the customs, etc.
Contact any other department of BRP that can help to avoid/reduce the impacts on our production lines (Procurement, R&D, quality, etc).
Request, transmit and follow up on requests for deviation from the suppliers.
Analyze suppliers tier2 performance, raw material strategies and support them if needed
Monitor inventory of finished goods at suppliers to ensure shipping on time to BRP.
Make sure that no special cost will compromise the production plan of the suppliers (production startup, set-up changes, overtime, special freight, etc).
Obtain and analyze the type of the necessary freight to meet the production schedule
Support chargebacks to the suppliers (Retrofits, sortings, special freight, line stops, etc..).
Keep record of all communications, notes, reports through the critical period.
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED**:
Minimum of 5 years of Material planning in a manufacturing environment is required
Industrial Engineering or Administration Bachelor Degree
Excellent attention to detail, time management and administration skills
Bilingual (Spanish/English, French/English), both oral and written.
Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Google sheet, SAP
Strong organization and data management
Strong planning and problem-solving abilities
Good leader, listener and communicator
Team spirit and great interpersonal skills
Ability to manage stress and work under tight schedule
Available to travel to the supplier locations when needed
