The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving customer satisfaction, managing accounts, and supporting business growth through excellent service and strategic planning. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, market knowledge, and strong communication skills to effectively address customer needs and contribute to the team's success.Key Responsibilities:Customer Satisfaction: Deliver exceptional sales service and support to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.Account Management: Service existing accounts, secure orders, and establish new accounts by effectively organizing and planning daily work schedules for assigned customers.Market Monitoring: Gather and analyze information on pricing, products, new developments, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques to stay informed about current market trends.Reporting and Recording: Keep management updated by submitting activity and results reports, including daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly/annual territory analyses. Maintain comprehensive sales records for the area and customer accounts.Product Recommendations: Assess and recommend changes in products, services, and policies based on evaluation of results and competitive developments.Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve customer complaints by developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.Professional Development: Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, building personal networks, and participating in professional societies.Major KPIs: Support Account Manager in achieving team KPIs.Required Qualifications:Professional Experience: 1-3 years of experience in sales or account management, particularly targeting automotive customers.Industry Knowledge: Understanding of customer and market dynamics within the automotive Tier 1 and 2 levels, including familiarity with program development requirements and the APQP process.Skills:Negotiation and Persuasion: Ability to influence and persuade others to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.Communication: Proficient in conveying information and supporting interactions between internal teams and clients.Problem-solving: Skilled in identifying, analyzing, and resolving issues efficiently and effectively.Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, or a related field, coupled with significant experience in sales.Personal Attributes: Strong organizational and time management skills for multitasking; resilience and independence in handling sales targets and client expectations.Networking: Proven ability to build and maintain personal networks within the automotive industry.CRM Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM systems.Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel (minimum 25%) for client visits or industry events.#J-18808-Ljbffr
