**Job Overview**:
The Associate Security Guard supports the Security function and works closely with their Security Supervisor to follow clearly defined Health Safety Environment Security procedures. The Associate Security Guard is a role that allows for developing new Security related skills. The Associate Security Guard performs basic Security activities and uses existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. They must maintain a close relationship with designated project line supervision. The Associate Security Guard will assist in implementing specific and measurable goals.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:
- Control entry and exit of personnel and vehicles
- Responsible for traffic safety as needed
- Assist with employees, visitors, clients, and field operation's needs
- Maintain and utilize logs, access lists, and emergency notifications
- Inspect the property for security breaches and system malfunctions
- Conduct random vehicle, bag, and toolbox searches
- Report intrusion and fire alarms
- Report incidents and complaints to supervision
- Liaise between McDermott staff and visitors, contractors, or vendors
- Complete McDermott Security Guard Training
- Conduct routine patrols
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Must possess all state/federal/national security guard licenses applicable to the area of operation
- Must hold a valid driver's license
- Willingness and versatility to work extended or extra shifts when required
- Values ethics, displays professionalism and maintains confidentiality
- Must pass Fit for Duty as required
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Conduct business in a professional manner
- Willing to work in all weather conditions
- Be willing to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- For USA-based operations, must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
