.Schneider Electric has an opportunity for an Automation Engineer for Automatic Machines in the Apodaca, Nuevo León location. Work closely with Mechanical Design Engineers to create critical and complex automatic equipment/processes for Schneider Electric North American facilities that specialize in high volume/low mix production. Program PLC, HMI, drives, robots, vision system and other peripheral devices included in applications for automated process equipment. Support the full system lifecycle for process automation and control systems including the design, assessment, selection, commissioning, validation and implementation of systems. Assist in preparation and execution of FAT, SAT, Commissioning & Validation protocols related to process automation and control systems. Define system improvements to ensure maximum system uptime and performance. Ensure that the system is in conformity with the standards and the associated technical documentation. Support for standardization of documentation and process related to automation field for the department. Support process automation systems by troubleshooting and diagnosing issues and working closely with manufacturing and maintenance personnel. Perform investigation of deviations related to automation hardware and software. Develop User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, administration and support procedures, and user procedures for new and existing process automation systems. Participate in technical reviews for design requirements, specifications, and codes. Support onsite installation of the automatic machines to ensure Key Performance Indicators will be achieved (safety, quality, production rate, etc). After installation, provide technical support and customer service to the manufacturing site (end user) and the industrialization team. (40% travel) Work with senior and fellow engineers in NAM (North America) and abroad to develop alternatives and options for further enhancements of automatic machines and processes. Research competitor products quarterly and collaborate with product development teams to generate ideas for making Schneider Electric products the best in North America. Qualifications This job might be for you if: Bachelor's degree in engineering, electrical, electronic, or automation engineering preferred. At least 5 years of experience in a related field
