Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Automation Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
The Automation Engineer role involves role involves being responsible of Defining, Implementing and proliferating Automation projects, providing consultancy as SME. PM automation initiative to impact Global strategy in Savings by Automation introduction.
What a typical day looks like:
- Be able to create and define RFQ/SOW documents to quote with suppliers' new integrations
- Simulate electrical and pneumatic design in specialized SW, from simple automation and custom, using standards and implement, improve through new technology WW
- Take responsibility for the development or implementation of a project.
- Lead a group of Automation Engineering
- Able to quote and follow up automation integration: Simple, Custom or entire line for full processes
- Knowledge in Project Management
- Work effectively with leadership, design and engineering, Segment CTO's, sales, marketing, and other stakeholders to prioritize requirements for Growth and Productivity
- Define clear requirements to achieve goals with ROI, Investment cost, scalable solutions etc.
- Build financial models (i.e., Microsoft Excel); conduct quantitative and qualitative business, market, and competitor analysis; help identify and assess existing and new market initiatives as it relates to Growth
- Be a key spokesperson to advocate core product capabilities and potential opportunities. Effectively participate in promotion activities internally and with customers to represent various industry products, solutions, and value propositions.
- Requires previous Project Management experience in a complex, high volume manufacturing environment.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BS degree in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similar
- Advance knowledge in Electrical design, implementation and debugging for Automation development equipment, using Electrical design SW, such as: AutoCad Electrical, Eplan, others
- Advance knowledge in Pneumatic design, implementation and debugging for Automation development equipment
- Project Management experience
- PMI Certificate (Project Management Institution)
- Knowledge in Automation-Maintenance and Engineering
- Evaluations, plans, internal strategies
- Gap Analysis
- Finance (P&L- Balances Investments Vs Savings)
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- Valid US Visa and passport.
- Impacts long term projects and goals
- Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approach to critical assignments. 'Provides direction on large/critical projects
- Gap Analysis
- Experience with suppliers for automation integration solution
- Interpretation and establishment of KPI and Operational Metrics for automation devices.
