Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Banking Analyst.
What you'll do:This role is in the Payroll Banking area in a shared services environment that generates payment proposals for different entities and payroll payments, and taxes according to the calendar from Eaton. Ensure to review rejected payments, ensure that all payroll payments with due dates are included in the payment run, and review and follow up according to the Eaton established policies.
Perform Bank Disbursements to payroll payments in a timely manner according to the schedule.Reconcile Payments against Bank Statements on a daily basis to ensure they were successful.Provide evidence of Bank Disbursements to the Local teams.Attend Column Case ensuring to solve all the cases in the next 24 hours.Review and Analyze payments rejected or returned.Analyze Errors in payments, payments on hold, Unreconciled items.Analyze payroll payments problems, determine root causes and recommend solutions.Coordinate problem resolutions between the Banks and Operations.Prepare metric analysis and reporting.Address escalated payments issues and lead activities to resolve payments concerns.Participate in continuous improvements and project work to drive functional excellence.Complete payment process special handling requests.Develop and document new processes and improvements.Function well in a team environment.Maintain positive relationships with customers, both internal & external. Ensure professional and appropriate communications.Know and comply with Eaton policies: Global Ethics, Values and Philosophy, Management Environmental Safety and Security and Health (MESH).Qualifications:Education level required: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance related.
Years and area of experience required: 1 - 2 years in a similar position.
Skills:Technical knowledge: Accounts payable, data processing in financial systems, bilingual (English Spanish) a plus, accounting and banking portals. Strong PC skills (Excel). Shared service experience a plus.
Soft skills: Communication, ability to operate and deliver independently without day-to-day supervision, flexibility to work outside standard hours to accommodate teams working around the globe. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
