Global company entering Mexico market with multiple sites.The Chief Operations Officer (full P&L) is responsible for leading and executing the full P&L, Commercial, Program Management and Manufacturing strategy for our client's regional multi-site business units that they will establish in Mexico.The executive will have responsibilities include organizing and overseeing the daily operations and building an effective leadership team. This position has the overall responsibility to ensure that a high level of product quality is achieved and to ensure on-time delivery of our products. This position reports to the global COO based in Europe.Job Duties:Develops and implements production plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve operational targets including safety, EBITDA, inventory, throughput, and quality.Resolves problems with an emphasis on accountability, delegation of responsibility, and the willingness to make decisions.Builds effective teams and creates strong morale among all employees.Sets the tone for the culture of the business unit, recognizes wins and successes, and fosters open dialogue.Provides leadership in employee relations issues, motivates staff, and produces coordinated and consistent efforts to achieve operational goals.Utilizes safety management practices to promote a strong safety culture needed to facilitate safe operations.Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of the business to ensure smooth progress.Regularly evaluates the efficiency of the operation according to organizational objectives and applies improvements.Sets and executes strategy for processes, efficiency, and quality.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering (MBA or MS in Business Management or equivalent degree strongly preferred)Minimum 15-20 years of operational leadership role preferably in Automotive ManufacturingTravel 20% between multiple facilitiesMust be able to communicate with all levels of the organizationBe able to build an effective teamDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency with Microsoft OfficeProficiency in continuous improvement; lean manufacturing preferred
