.Primary responsibility for Legal Compliance matters for LATAM, including providing primary compliance investigation support in the region. In addition, this role will have full responsibility for litigation management for Mexico and CAM and other countries in LATAM.Litigation management for Andean, Mexico & CAM region:Prevention and strategic management of litigation against Clarios in all areas of law. Strategically evaluate convenience and repercussions of active litigations and explore alternatives whenever possible. Ensure proper visibility to the business and finance through periodic and ad-hoc reports. Selection, negotiation, and management of outside counsel panel to ensure qualified, timely and cost-effective specialized litigation counsel as needed. Coordinate, lead and produce LATAM litigation reports in collaboration with internal and external legal team.LATAM Compliance Investigation Manager:Conduct investigations regarding a full range of risks and allegation types, including but not limited to, bribery and corruption, various types of occupational fraud, theft, and financial misstatements. Provides advice, training, approvals, and engages in ethical solutions in Ethics and Compliance matters across LATAM.Experienced (8-12 years) attorney qualified to practice in Colombia or Mexico. Experience as in-house in multinationals companies. Experience in Compliance and minimum of 5 years' experience conducting investigations, including strong interview skills. Fluency in English and Spanish, Portuguese is a plus. At least one professional designation (e.G., CPA, CA, CIA, CFA; CFE or equivalent preferred). Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks and projects. Strong financial, analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.Accounting/finance experience is a plus. Ability to work in a team and matrixed environment. In addition to direct reporting to LATAM Legal, this role will matrix report to Global Compliance. Highly motivated professional, self-starter, and willing and able to travel within Latin America and globally. Expected travel 30-50%. Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
