.BUSINESS UNIT AND ROLE OVERVIEW: The Controllers group is responsible for safeguarding the firm's assets: to help maintain the integrity of Goldman Sachs' finances and expenditures. LatAm Controllers team sits within Product Controllers, within the Controllers Department within the Finance division and is responsible for preparing and analyzing P&L and attribution reports covering both USGAAP and MXGAAP reporting. Key Control functions include P&L, local risk, local regulatory and financial statements production in accordance with global and local rules followed by regulations applicable to the broker/dealers in the Mexico market.LatAm Controllers is looking for one candidate to join the Mexico City team. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing and preparing P&L/Risk reports including enquiry and substantiation of daily revenue reporting of estimate and actual P&L for Mexico Local Bonds Desk together, M/E-Q/E close process, LOB submissions for external and internal reporting requirements including Local Regulatory Reports and Income Statement of the Mexico Broker Dealer.Diligence, attention to detail, analytical skills, excellent organization skills, strong Excel skills and interpersonal skills are a must. The applicants should also have excellent writing skills, possess the ability and confidence to work well with a broad range of teams across the Finance, Operations and Securities Divisions, consistently deliver and meet tight reporting deadlines, have very strong team focus, and be able to multi-task. Public accounting experience, financial services industry experience and financial product knowledge are desirable.RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Assisting the Product Control team in daily, monthly and quarterly estimate and actual P&L reporting as needed; Analyzing and preparing daily regulatory capital calculations under the market risk, credit risk, and operational risk CNBV frameworks; Participate in the production of internal and external audit/regulatory information requests.Work closely with Technology on various initiatives to update and enhance the financial and regulatory reporting framework; Assisting LegalEntity Controllers team in production of financial information for regulatory filings.Keep up to speed with local accounting rules and regulations that affect Mexico Broker Dealer.Assist in several ad-hoc requests as needed.Maintaining support documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures as well as in accordance with requirements established under local rules and regulation.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: The role requires bilingual candidates, fluent in both English and Spanish. Bachelor Degree Required.Working towards or having a Chartered Financial Analyst or Public Account Certification is a plus.Analyst role preferably have at least one year of experience in Audit, Financial Control, Risk Management, Accounting or Regulatory Control Roles
