About the Role
Lead and oversee the local team in customs compliance assuring adherence to MX Customs Compliance Policies and regulations. Accountable of support Customs Operation and defining procedures according to Harman business model. Support and direct efforts to reinforce Customs Compliance Culture of excellence, security efficiency.
Your Team
Trade Compliance Specialists, and Trade Compliance Analyst.
What You Will Do
- Set Up the yearly targets per areas for customs compliance.
- Supervise the performance of customs compliance areas.
- Assure fixed assets are imported in adherence to regulations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance in Tax Files Control, HTS classifications, Special operations, Free trade agreements, country of origin and valuation.
- Assure maquiladoras regulations are met timely and regularity.
- Monitor overall performance to make sur targets are being met using KPI and metrics.
- Optimize the foreign trade framework for customs benefits.
- Establish multidisciplinary teams for continuous improvement.
- Review the updates for customs compliance regulations.
- Organize the staff to optimize the regular activities and new projects.
- Customs compliance supports regulations to the team of customs.
- Training for new positions
- Provide support and maintenance of VAT-AEO-CTPAT certifications.
- And other activities assigned by Mexico customs compliance manager.
- Coordinator & internal audit for OEA & C-TPAT.
- Work in cooperation with US Trade Compliance Teams.

- 5 years of in a similar role.
- International business, finance, or administration degree.
- Mexican Custom Laws Expertise.
- Advanced office software skills.
- English Advanced
