Why you'll love this role:_- Essential duties include the following:_- Designs, develops, and maintains scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from various sources into cloud-based data warehouses.- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop solutions to address business needs.- Optimizes and tunes data pipelines for performance, reliability, and scalability.- Implements data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and reliability.- Builds data models and develop an Enterprise Data Model at a large scale.- Works closely with data analysts and data scientists to provide them with access to clean and reliable data for analysis and modeling.- Stays up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and cloud computing.- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.- Proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.- Hands-on experience with cloud-based data warehouses such as Snowflake or Redshift.- Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools such as AWS Step functions, Airflow, or similar.- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.- Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala is a plus.- Experience with SSIS, AWS Glue, DBT (Data Build Tool) and Fivetran / AWS Lambdas preferred.- Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure preferred.- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments preferred.- Additional Information:_SWBC is a Substance-Free Workplace and requires pre-employment drug testing.
