**Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and define testing strategies for data quality assurance.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate data pipelines and identify potential issues.
- Perform extensive data analysis to identify anomalies, inconsistencies, and gaps in data quality.
- Take ownership of data quality initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining data quality metrics, dashboards, and alerts.
- Work closely with data engineering and data science teams to remediate data quality issues and improve data integrity.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data quality processes and make recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute to the automation of data quality tests and processes using SQL scripts, Python, and PySpark.
- Collaborate with software developers in troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong expertise in SQL and experience with complex SQL queries, data validation, and manipulation.
- Good knowledge of Python.
- Proficient in testing methodologies and experience with test planning, test execution, and defect management.
- Familiarity with data quality concepts, data profiling, and data validation techniques.
- Experience working with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and their data services.
- Working knowledge of Databricks.
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory Informatica IDMC (Data Quality)
