.Monks is seeking a highly skilled Data Manager with a strong focus on Social Analytics to join our growing team in Mexico City. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience operating in a Data Strategy (Data Planning) function within a digital or research agency environment, with a deep understanding of social media platforms and analytics. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a proven track record of analyzing and interpreting social data, identifying behaviors and interests, and developing data-driven strategies to enhance social media performance. Excellent presentation skills and a high level of English proficiency are essential for this role. The Data Manager will also be responsible for managing and mentoring the Data Analyst dedicated to the client.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and mentor the Data Analyst dedicated to the client, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and professional growth.Work with distributed teams in multiple time zones to create and implement methodologies for interpreting social data and identifying behaviors and interests.Develop measurement strategies specific to social media and collaborate with the agency's creative and strategic teams to implement them effectively.Participate in brainstorming sessions with content and creative teams to optimize social media platforms based on insights and learnings from reports.Develop data-driven strategies and roadmaps to drive client social media marketing activities.Collaborate with Social Strategists to develop weekly and monthly social trend reports, brand health trackers, and audience profiles.Enhance the social data understanding of other departments within the agency.Present insights, strategies, and recommendations to clients and internal teams in a clear and compelling manner.Minimum Requirements4+ years of experience in a Data Strategy (Data Planning) function within a digital or research agency environment, with a strong focus on social media analytics.Experience managing and mentoring junior data analysts.Deep understanding of social media platforms and proficiency in analyzing social data to identify key insights and brand opportunities.Mastery of social media metrics and analysis of social platforms.Experience in monitoring social trends and working with strategy and content teams to optimize social media performance.Proficiency in using social analytics tools (e.G., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Brandwatch, Emplifi).Strong skills in data visualization and reporting using tools like Looker Studio (formerly Google Data Studio).Exceptional presentation, communication, and storytelling skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to diverse audiences.High level of English proficiency (fluent in speaking, reading, and writing) for direct contact with international clients.Excellent spelling, writing, and mastery of writing rules and syntax.Working knowledge of spreadsheet tools (Google Sheets preferred)
