Physical Security Manager Job DescriptionAs a Physical Security Manager, you will be tasked with driving operational security excellence in two separate facilities located within a short driving distance.
Your constant vigilance will discover physical security gaps and shortcomings which you will drive to fix immediately. You will interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning. You will extract metrics and observe improvements by looking at hard data. You will make suggestions on improving electronic surveillance and access controls. You will direct efforts to educate facility occupants on false alarm reductions. You will write and implement security processes and procedures.
Your position will require you to write reports, create presentations, and communicate with leadership on the status of physical security operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAbility to walk a facility and observe security gaps in physical barriers, security officer procedures, policies, surveillance equipment, and alarm points.Drive campaigns to reduce nuisance alarms.Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics.Investigate accidents, thefts, disturbances, discrepancies.Oversee physical security subcontractors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction, door repair, fencing, and access controls.Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals.Oversee security construction projects.Teach others the proper security processes and methods.Minimum RequirementsBilingual (Spanish and English). Must have the ability to read, write and speak fluently.4+ years experience with security operations and/or law enforcement.2+ years experience with security vendors and contractors.3+ years experience managing contract security and physical security operation programs, such as Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems.Ability to travel between facilities within the region.2+ years experience in security related documentation/reporting.2+ years experience with LENEL or C-cure systems.2+ years experience with trouble ticket systems for access requests.2+ years experience with investigations including accidents, thefts, disturbances, discrepancies.Familiarity with security program automation and implementation.Security Certifications such as CPP, PSP, CFI are a plus.Amazon Web Services (AWS) is the world's most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.
