This will include analyzing the design to ensure it meets requirements and working with the extended vehicle team for production implementation and competitive benchmarking. The Body Exterior Vision Component Engineer will execute component standardization and reuse, DVP, best practices and lessons learned and will maintain functional objectives, DFMEA's, DVPR's and standards. Engineer needs to support meetings throughout NA work hours and work closely with local engineering teams, Architecture/Vehicle Concepts, program science teams & PDO with iterative models to align with all packaging, functional objectives and system requirements.QualificationsMinimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Materials Engineering from an ABET accredited university. Self-starter with strong leadership, communication skills and demonstrated problem-solving ability. Proficient in MS-Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).Preferred Qualifications: Experience in body exterior systems and wipers systems. Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R). Knowledgeable in NX and TC release experience. Body systems in-plant launch experience. Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) green / black-belt. Shainin/ Kepner-Tregoe reactive problem solving.
