**Director of Communications**:Community Phone is looking for a PR and communications expert to help us build our brand, capture a considerable PR opportunity, and establish us as a leader in the consumer and business phone service space.The primary focus of the role will be to support our marketing strategy by securing stories in local and national publications about the shutdown of copper wire landline service across the country.
You'll empower journalists to share how Community Phone is helping underserved communities keep their landline phones, and more importantly, their connection to friends and loved ones.More broadly, you'll establish PR as a tool to build our brand, and drive the strategy to establish Community Phone as a known provider in the massive phone service space.

Thanks to recent FCC deregulation, traditional providers are shutting off their old-fashioned landline service and forcing customers to switch to internet-based home phone service that they don't want and can't afford.Most of the 100 million+ landline phone users (as well as the journalists who write stories for them) are not aware their service will likely be cut in the next 4 years.
