Part of a team of drilling engineers supporting GWS projects in central or regional teams during planning, execution, or close-out phases of projects or new business opportunities.Duties & Responsibilities:Core Responsibilities:Plans and delivers segments of projects and whole well designs within a team.Collaborates across disciplines to share knowledge and achieve objectives.Works independently and solves complex problems with some supervision.Makes recommendations on project direction and scope.Learns new projects quickly and can adjust to unexpected and changing conditions.Prepares high quality written work and makes clear concise presentations.Continuously demonstrates professional and ethical behaviour.Operations & Engineering Responsibilities:Leads the design process for a full well or portions of a well, including:Cost, time, and resource planning.Input to the Basis of Well Design (BOWD), including formation evaluation.Offset well reviews and conceptual design.Evaluation of casing seat, load cases, well architecture, and stress analysis.Designing the well trajectory and survey program.Performing drill string design and drilling hydraulics.Designing a cement slurry for each casing string to achieve zonal isolation.Selection of drilling materials including OCTG's, wellheads and liner hangers.Recommendations for bits and drilling mechanics.New drilling tool technology evaluations and recommendations.Well acceptance criteria, barriers and well integrity work.Preparation of drilling programs, load out lists, contingency plans, and MOCs.Pre-spud meetings, post-well or post-campaign reviews.Reviews daily activity reports to ensure accuracy and appropriate level of detail.Participates in After Action Reviews and ensures Lessons Learned are captured.Health, Safety, and Environmental:Understands GWS HSE strategy and HSE standards.Includes HSE in Engineering design, including process safety considerations.Participates in field audits, visits, and site based HSE programs.Risks:Has a strong understanding of D&C risks and Risk Management processes.Can lead Well, Operational, and MOC risk assessments as needed.Participates in development of Material Risk Bowties and Critical Controls.Costs:Assists in the preparation of well cost estimates for planning and AFE generation.Maintains a close track of costs during operations, including cost reduction ideas.Reconciling AFE vs final tracked costs, investigates variances, and updates cost model.Supply:Manages service contracts and resolves any contractual or invoice disputes.Provides technical/service inputs for tenders, evaluation, and award processes.Supporting the purchase to pay process for drilling materials and services.Quality Assurance:Provides engineering input to quality plans for equipment and service tools.Supports failure investigation and non-compliance reporting (NCR) processes.Regulatory and Joint Venture:Verifies applicable regulatory requirements are complied with for drilling operations.Participates in Joint Venture Partner meetings as required.Development:Mentors more junior team members to progress their development goals and plans.Skills & Experience:Qualifications:Drilling, completion, and intervention technical courses.Developing leadership skills.Experience:4 to 9 years in drilling engineering.1 to 2 years of wellsite experience preferred.Experience in several offshore campaigns, including deep-water and different basins.Duration of Assignment: Fix Term 12 MonthsProficiency in English is requiredResumes are required to be submitted in EnglishIf you think you can do this job but don't meet all the criteria, that's OK!
