We are currently expanding and looking to add a motivated individual to our team based out of our Queretaro yard.
Responsibilities: Supervise, maintain, and optimize the company's fleet of vehicles to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
Monitor vehicle performance, scheduling, and maintenance to reduce downtime and operational costs.
Develop and implement regular vehicle inspection schedules, ensuring all vehicles are compliant with safety regulations and company standards.
Manage a team of drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Ensure that all drivers comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry best practices.
Monitor driver performance through data analysis, including fuel usage, driving behaviors, and delivery times.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, and address any performance or behavioral issues.
Provide drivers with training on safety protocols, defensive driving techniques, and customer service.
Coordinate transportation schedules, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in line with customer expectations.
Work closely with dispatchers and logistics teams to optimize routes and ensure effective use of resources.
Track deliveries and fleet operations using fleet management software, analyzing data to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs.
Enforce safety protocols for drivers, including the use of appropriate safety gear, vehicle inspections, and accident reporting.
Develop and manage the fleet's operational budget, controlling costs related to fuel, maintenance, repairs, and insurance.
Implement cost-effective strategies to optimize fuel consumption and reduce fleet operating expenses.
Provide regular reports on fleet performance, cost analysis, and other key metrics to upper management.
Ensure that drivers provide excellent customer service, maintaining professionalism and meeting client delivery requirements.
Address customer concerns or complaints regarding delivery times, damages, or service quality.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in logistics, business administration, transportation, or a related field (preferred).
Relevant certifications or courses in fleet management or logistics are a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet management, logistics, or transportation in Mexico, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Proven experience managing a fleet of vehicles, overseeing drivers, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Strong understanding of Mexican road regulations, safety standards, and transport laws.
Skills and Competencies: Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Familiarity with fleet management software and GPS systems.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other relevant tools.
Strong communication skills in Spanish (both written and spoken); knowledge of English is a plus.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
