**Summary of position**The Maintenance Engineer role performs regular preventive maintenance on equipment used in manufacturing process and facility to ensure the successful execution of production activities. Maintain a safe and clean environment for all employees, customers, and visitors. The maintenance engineer is also capable of determining the utilities requirements to install new equipment, can modify plant layout and has control of the equipment that are being transferred or brought up to Ametek EMC Reynosa.**Requirements & Skills**A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.+ 3 years experience in a similar positionTechnical knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical, electrical, electronic and automation.Knowledge of mechanical maintenance process.Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning.Good time management to work at a good pace, executing word orders and demands.Ability to handle basic tools.Knowledge of safety precaution.Good human relations to relate cordially with team members and workers.Knowledge on Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)**Responsibilities & Duties**Have ready the utilities and facilities modifications needed to install new equipment.Control through a list of all the current equipment in the facilities as well as having a list of all the upcoming equipment.Perform the maintenances of all the equipment up to date.Keep a list of all the critical spare parts, minimums and maximums for all equipment.Modify or suggest updates to current maintenance practices in order to improve this process.Build and repair electrical test and production fixtures.Setup, troubleshoot and operate machinery including but not limited to molding machines, crimp presses, cable cutters, drill press and milling machine.Assist with new product sample builds, validations, and product/process qualifications.Calibration of equipment, gauges, fixtures, as needed.Remove obstructions and hazards from all walkways and common areas to maintain a safe and orderly environment.Keep control of all the equipment in the plant.Responsible for making sure the preventive maintenance of all equipment are performed in time.Ensure the spare parts are in stock and/or order them.Quote supplier for services needed for the installation of new equipment and/or other services.Ensure that the required utilities for the installation of the equipment are in place before the arrival of the equipment.Integrates new technology to previously installed equipment.Performs CAPEX to buy new equipment when needed.May perform other duties as requested.
