We are looking for a motivated Customer Warranty Engineer to join our Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department. The position reports to the Warranty Technical Manager.Key objectivesThe new Customer Warranty Management (CWM) Department oversees TPI Composite blade products integrity at customer sites (windfarms) within warranty period. As our new Customer Warranty Engineer, you are a recognized knowledge engineer in the area of composites engineering, manufacturing and problem solving with direct and applicable knowledge on wind blade production processes to include, but not limited to infusion, composite repair, composite inspection, process trouble shooting, composite blade failure, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions definition, and design for manufacturability.Main Responsibilities:Take lead on the resolution of several Local Warranty projects across different products and customers, mainly but not limited to your location plant.Support the Customer Warranty Project manager & Technical Leader with local plant solutions related to large Global Warranty projects.Act as Quality project leader in Warranty projects (RCCA), forming a team of experts and supporters from different internal functions (ENG-Quality-Factories-Technical support) and driving it through all technical steps of the project (Technical Review gates). Follow progress ensuring actions are closed in timely and qualitatively manner. Escalate project risks such as resource shortage, new technical risks.Be technically minded and curious to "ask the right question" and review input delivered and validate assumptions.Provide regular communication and progress updates to the local Customer's SQE appointed as project interface and support the Customer Warranty Program manager with Customer's Global organization communication when required.Escalate to Customer Warranty Relations manager any complex communication to customer or need for overall strategy with Customer's Global organization.Qualifications & ExperienceB.S. degree in Engineering required, or equivalent qualification.Minimum 5 years related industry experience required with minimum of 3 years wind blade composites experience.Experience in Blade manufacturing quality and RCCA projects.Experience in project management with PMP certification preferred.Lean 6-sigma green belt certification preferred.Computer proficiency & Excellent presentation skillsQuality orientation and high attention to detailAbility to work with vendors, customers and employeesExperience working with high performance teams.Ability to maintain safe work environment.English fluency; speak, read, write
