Job summary
As a member of the management team of the Mexico operation you will help to ensure that the company will work efficiently and profitable.
You will be responsible for leading a group of engineers to provide technical support to the manufacturing group in Mexico.
An integral part of the job is to lead the team in proper defect analysis and using continual improvements techniques to achieve cost reductions through process improvement.
You will be also responsible for leading engineers to maintain Mexico quality management system, to support material and products quality, take part in supplier quality management in Mexico.
In addition, your group will participate with the transfer of products from other manufacturing centers to the Mexico location.
What you'll do
Responsible for driving the team to accomplish the department goals and initiatives.
Works closely with other department Managers to optimize results.
Regularly appraise / coach / discipline to improve the skill, motivation, knowledge, and attitude of employees as it relates to job performance and their impact on the organization.
Take part in product transfers, review and implement new production cells.
Monitor production yield, lead the team to analyze and repair failures, drive improvement.
Monitor, analyze, and report on the quality of raw materials, semi-finished or finished assemblies.
Oversee the management of supplier quality in Mexico, take part in new supplier audit, parts approval, provide technical support to supplier and drive for continuous improvement.
Responsible for department major environmental impact control per ISO14000 requirements.
Manage, maintain and improve the existing TL9000 & ISO14000 system.
Must have
**Pertinent experience**: Quality system management experience is a must.
With 5 years of experience in the electronics field plus 2 years in management would be preferred.
**Language requirements**: Has effective English and Spanish written and verbal communication skills.?
**Education**: Have an engineering degree in electronics, mechanics or optics
