From California to Texas to Mexico and to communities around the world, we're building a better energy future for everyone.Primary PurposeThis is a San Diego based Baja Call-in Position.The Executive Security Specialist II performs armed/unarmed executive security protection and other related services for executive leadership, members of the Board of Directors, and other designated personnel. Responsible for the safety and well-being of the protectee, the Executive Security Specialist II must take appropriate action in the event that the protectee becomes ill/injured and/or is confronted by hostile persons. Duties will be performed in both Mexico and the United States.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMeet at protectee's residence, place of employment, or other designated location at the time required each day. Responsible for the safety and security of assigned protectee, including preparing safe transportation routes, evaluating the security of the protectee's residence, completing advances on destination points, and maintaining a presence at special functions or events.Travel with protectee throughout the United States, Mexico, and other international locations, including extended days and weekends. Required to be available to the protectee until dismissed or as directed.Conduct site advances at off-site locations, including meetings, hotels, restaurants, and special events. Complete necessary documentation such as site security reports.Attend specialized training in executive protection, defensive & security driving, self-defense, and certification in First Aid/CPR/AED. Attend security briefings and read intelligence reports affecting crime and safety throughout the southern California region.Provide courier services for sensitive and confidential documents for the assigned principal and other executives or departments. Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationHigh school diploma/GED is required.Associate's degree in relevant field and/or equivalent combination of training and experience is preferred.Experience4+ years of experience in law enforcement and/or military dignitary protection is required.4+ years of experience with Latin American security is required.4+ years of experience in executive protection in the private sector is preferred.4+ years of experience in protective intelligence analysis and application is preferred
