Responsible for the development, management and maintenance of facilities operations. May control a broad span of service departments - catering, maintenance, office premises and property.
- Manages multifunctional teams to deliver a range of frontline services to an area or assets to meet business demands and support customers operating effectively
- Provides overall direction and accountability for the development, provision and management of operational services to an area or asset
- Assumes overall responsibility and ownership of an asset or area. This may include accountability for the responsibilities in the position of delegated duty holder and/or building manager as defined under Safety, Health and Environment plans
- Leads and line manages their teams, providing direction and motivation, managing performance, and developing the skills and capabilities of colleagues
- Contributes to the development and implementation of the area capital investment programme
- Ensures operational compliance with agreed standards and targets (both local Facilities Management and AstraZeneca more widely) such as Safety Health and Environment / Good Manufacturing Practice, and other statutory and regulatory requirement
- Builds strong and effective relationships with customers, developing an understanding of their businesses, priorities, preferences and specific needs
Qualifications:
- Engineering Career
- Fluent English
- Comprehensive understanding of the Facilities Management function and how it relates to the assets and services they managed
- General understanding of the functions and customers within remit
- Knowledge, Safety Health and Environment and other regulations relating to frontline services and the supported functions
