As a Financial Controller at Belmond, you will play a pivotal role in managing the financial health of our luxury properties.
With a focus on ensuring compliance with corporate policies and procedures, the Financial Controller will provide essential financial insights to drive business strategies and decisions.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee all financial operations ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
- Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards and regulations.
- Monitor and develop internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance profitability.
- Support department heads in understanding their financial performance, providing guidance and insights.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
- Engage with external auditors and manage the audit process.
- Conduct regular analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; Master's or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within the hospitality sector.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative approach.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
