Industrial Engineering - Trainee

**Job Description Summary**:
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Develops strategies to improve manufacturing and reduce waste and line balancing.
- Support recalibrating manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor production assembly procedures.
- Implementing new equipment to aid efficiency.
- Coordinates the design, purchase, and installation of equipment to support changes in capacity or product design.
- Develops concepts and designs for internal and external development that bring innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Works with outside engineering firms and prepares machine specifications for new equipment purchases.
- Assists in the analysis of production/product performance and identifies solutions to improve performance and achieve cost reductions.
- Participates in cross-functional teams to deliver project objectives on schedule.
- Accountable for the achievement of specific project tasks

**Internship Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
- Prior internship or Co-op experience Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field desired, but not required.
- Ability to learn quickly, deal with ambiguity, take initiative and achieve results.
- Statistical analysis preferred.
- Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC programs.
- Excellent written and communications skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
